Founded by Daniel in 1998, Thornmark was created to provide specialized investment management services in Canada. Prior to founding Thornmark, Daniel was Chief Investment Officer of a private investment and real estate development company. In the early 90s, Daniel developed Thornmark's Value-Shift™ investment philosophy, which remains a foundation of Thornmark's investment process. Daniel is a graduate of Queen's University and a director of the Hope for Children Foundation and a member of the Casey House Foundation Committee. He is a member of the Toronto CFA Society and the Investment Counsel Association of Canada.
Paul Spagnolo, CFA, CA

pspagnolo@thornmark.com Paul is responsible for Thornmark’s strategy implementation, business management and operations. Prior to joining Thornmark, he was a Vice-President at Rockwater Asset Management Inc., where he ran the day-to-day business operations of a billion dollar asset management firm. He has held previous positions as Director, Wealth Management Finance with CIBC and with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and Arthur Andersen LLP. Paul is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (Ivey School of Business) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Chartered Accountant (CA). He is a member of the Investment Counsel Association of Canada.

Chris is a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Thornmark. He works with high net worth and institutional clients across Canada to build investment portfolios, which are designed to achieve clients’ specific financial objectives, in addition to being responsible for the firm’s business development. Prior to joining Thornmark, Chris was a Vice-President at a major Canadian investment counseling firm and was an investment counselor with TAL Private Management (CIBC). Chris is a graduate of Laurentian University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He is a director of the Fort York Food Bank and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Toronto and the National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association. Chris volunteers with Charity Intelligence (Ci) Canada, managing the assessments of food bank-related charities to help people make better-informed giving decisions.
Tim Morgan, CIM

Tim is a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Thornmark. He works with high net worth and institutional clients across Canada to build investment portfolios, which are designed to achieve clients’ specific financial objectives, in addition to being responsible for the firm’s business development. Prior to joining Thornmark, Tim was a Vice-President at a major Canadian investment counseling firm and an investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities. Tim is a graduate of Nipissing University, where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting, and he holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation. He is a director for both the Whitby Rotary Club and the Whitby Girls Softball Association.
Andrew Pink, CIM

Andrew is a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Thornmark. Prior to joining Thornmark, Andrew ran the trading desk and managed the wrap fund platform at a Toronto-based wealth management firm. He has worked with several leading financial services companies, including the Toronto Dominion Bank, Merrill Lynch Canada and Scotia Capital and has extensive experience managing mutual and pooled funds, pension funds and private client mandates. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
